…The alarm clock roars and wakes me suddenly from a peaceful sleep. I debate whether to hit the snooze or to go ahead and cut it off. I decide to cut it off. I sit up on the side of my bed and fold my hands under my chin and I thank the Lord for another day. I ask Him to guide me through my day and to make His voice clear. I yawn, stretch and head to the bathroom. I cut on the light and I look in the mirror…

Though there may be some variations to the order or to what you actually say and do in your morning but basically you wake up and go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. What do you see? Sure we can get deep and say, “We see the real person before putting on the mask for the world�. Or we can say, “We see the man in the mirror�. But it’s a simple answer… you see your reflection.

What I would love to have the ability to do is to be able to see you, as you see you. Because we are much in denial or we simply chose to see what we want to see. We have lied to ourselves for so long that we believe our own hype. We see ourselves sometimes as we want to than as how we are. And to me, I think this is the cause to why we are so quick to put down our brothers and sisters in Christ. Let me explain.

I think it is appalling how much we badmouth other Christians as Christians. The whole concept in being a Christian is being of one mind, one body, and one spirit. I have to liken us down talking another Christian in the Body of Christ as that to a cell attaching another cell in the human body. Becoming Cancerous.

I understand the whole concept of judging a person by their fruit. If you’re announcing to be an apple tree, why are you producing oranges? It doesn’t make sense. But it’s our job as Christians, as mature Saints to uplift those that are not as strong in the faith. We down play people on television who claim to be Christians and judge everything that they do and say they are not followers of Christ. But if there

was a camera on you all of the time, what would folks say about your walk with Christ? And if it’s a positive report, then can you take the time to pray for the babes in Christ? We have to learn to speak life instead of siding with tearing each other down.

I don’t know about you, but I have come a long way from my “before Christ� days, but I have so much further to go. I don’t have enough time to scrutinize your walk. But I always have time to pray a prayer on your behalf and my behalf because I don’t always have the understanding. For all I know, you may be going through a process as much as I am. So as the Bible says in Matthew 7:1-5, Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in they brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Your mirror has only one reflection. Deal with that and carry on with the rest of your day. Time is a tickin’ and there are millions of souls yet to be saved. Your life may be the only sermon a person will ever get. Live the life you speak of and pray for those that don’t quite have it all together as you do. It took you time and it will take them time also. Amen!
